Free GEO audit
ChatGPT and Gemini can only quote your own website if their crawlers can reach it and read it. Enter your website: we run eight checks on that page (your home page if you enter just the domain), its robots.txt, sitemap and llms.txt, reading them the way a crawler does, usually in a few seconds.
Free, no sign-up. We read your page, robots.txt, sitemap and llms.txt as BoldlistedCheck, one request each, and nothing behind a login.
What each check looks at
- AI crawlers allowed in robots.txt. Whether your robots.txt lets in the crawlers AI answers rely on: OAI-SearchBot and ChatGPT-User for ChatGPT, Claude-SearchBot and Claude-User for Claude, PerplexityBot and Perplexity-User for Perplexity, Googlebot, whose index Gemini and Google's AI Overviews draw on, and Bingbot, whose index Copilot answers from. What each one does comes from its company's own documentation.
- The page opens for crawlers. Whether your page answers a declared crawler with the page itself, or with an error or a bot check, such as a "verify you are human" screen, that crawlers cannot pass.
- Text readable without JavaScript. How many words of your page are in the HTML your server sends: the page as it first arrives, before any JavaScript runs. Googlebot runs JavaScript; in a December 2024 study by Vercel, the crawlers of OpenAI, Anthropic and Perplexity did not, so a page built only in the browser can look empty to them.
- Title, description and main heading. The first lines a crawler reads to tell what a page is about, and whether they are in the HTML itself.
- Structured data. Which JSON-LD types the page declares (Organization, LocalBusiness, WebSite, Product or SoftwareApplication, FAQPage) and whether each block can be read. It does not make an assistant name you; it states who you are without guesswork.
- Canonical and indexing. Whether the page names its preferred address, and whether it carries noindex, which tells search engines to drop it. ChatGPT search draws on Bing's index and Gemini on Google's.
- Sitemap. Whether robots.txt points to a sitemap, or one sits at /sitemap.xml, and how many addresses it lists.
- llms.txt. Whether you have one. It is optional: no AI assistant has promised to use it, so the audit never marks it worth fixing.
How to read the result
Every check is marked Pass, Worth fixing, Optional or Not checked, with what we found and what to do about it. There is no overall score, because no audit can tell whether an assistant will name you; we count the checks passed and nothing more.
What it cannot tell you
Being readable is the first step. Whether ChatGPT and Gemini recommend you depends on what the pages they trust say about your market, and that only shows in their answers. The free check asks them ten questions your buyers ask and counts how often you are named. For every crawler in your robots.txt, training crawlers included, use the AI crawler checker.
Questions
Is this the same as the AI crawler checker?
No. The crawler checker explains your robots.txt crawler by crawler, training crawlers included. This audit runs a shorter version of that check, then seven more on your page, sitemap and llms.txt.
Where does the audit look, and as whom?
It reads the page you enter (your home page if you enter just the domain), your robots.txt, your sitemap and your llms.txt: one request each, public files only, nothing behind a login. It asks as BoldlistedCheck, a declared crawler described on our crawler page, and it does not run JavaScript.
Does passing every check mean ChatGPT will recommend me?
No. It means nothing we found stops the assistants reaching and reading your site. Whether they name you depends on what the pages they rely on say about your market; the free check shows how often ChatGPT and Gemini name you and which websites they relied on.
My site is behind Cloudflare. What should I look at?
Cloudflare's bot settings decide which crawlers get through. Since July 2025 it asks every new domain whether to allow AI crawlers, and it describes itself as blocking them by default. If the audit shows a bot check or a 403, start with its AI crawler and bot settings.
Does ChatGPT name your business?
Readable is not the same as recommended. The free check asks ChatGPT and Gemini ten questions your buyers ask and shows who they name instead of you. About two minutes, no sign-up.
